Sointula

"Sointula is a small community on Malcolm Island located off the northeast coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. It was settled by Finnish immigrants who wished to establish a self-sustaining utopian colony. They took possession of the island in 1901 and named their community Sointula, a ‘place of harmony’ in Finnish."
